Lewis Hamilton has had several awesome racing helmet designs over the years. From the purple design he’s featured over the last few seasons, or ones that include more of a white background, there is one helmet design that many fans will instantly think of: his old school yellow racing lid.
It’s the helmet design he used when he made his F1 debut back in 2007 until in 2013, and now Hamilton is bringing the yellow back. Although this time it’s MUCH brighter than before!
“For this year’s helmet I wanted to show love to my beginnings,” Lewis shared on social. “As much as I love purple and black, yellow is my history. I’m going into this season with the same dedication, drive, and passion I had way back in my karting days.”
We think it looks great, and will now also match the florescent yellow on the Mercedes numbers and the trims they’ve got on the car.
