Bubba Wallace came away with her first win in the NASCAR Cup Series
Bubba Wallace became the first black driver after 58 years to celebrate in the race of the NASCAR Cup Series. The rain stopped the race on the Talladega track, and the 27-year-old Wallace was in the lead and was declared the winner. The last black man to triumph in one of the races of the Nascar premier series was Wendel Scott in 1963.
“I never think about such things. Now that you have told me, of course, this information brings a lot of emotion and joy to my family, fans, and friends. “I am proud to be the winner of the race,” Wallace said.
Bubba brought the first victory to Michael Jordan
Wallace won in a car owned by the legendary Michael Jordan and three-time Daytona 500 winner Denny Hamlin. They formed a new team last year in which Wallace is the only driver.
“This is for all those children who want to get a chance and be the best at what they do. Stick to your path and ignore the nonsense. Be strong, humble, and hungry for success. There were many moments when I wanted to give up. “Surround yourself with the right people,” Wallace said.
