Daniel Suarez spoke about his partnership with Freeway Insurance and how they intend to grow together during the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season.

Freeway Insurance announced before the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season ended that they would be extending their partnership with Trackhouse Racing Team and Daniel Suarez through the 2023 season, with Suarez set to carry primary sponsorship from the brand in seven races on his No. 99 Chevrolet next year.

This partnership began in 2021, with Freeway Insurance serving as a primary sponsor of Suarez’s entry during the Justin Marks and Pitbull-owned team’s inaugural season of competition in the Cup Series.

The 2022 season was a breakout season for both Trackhouse and Suarez. The former secured a Championship 4 berth with Ross Chastain, who won two races in his first year with the team, and the latter earned the first win of his career at Sonoma Raceway, a win which netted him the first playoff berth in his six seasons in the sport.

Here is what Cesar Soriano, Chief Executive Officer of Freeway Insurance, had to say about the extension of this partnership.

“The partnership between Trackhouse, Daniel Suarez and Freeway Insurance has been a perfect fit since the start, and it was a no-brainer to continue our relationship. Being able to team up with Daniel – one of the best drivers on the circuit – and have him as an ambassador for Freeway Insurance is an incredible honor, and we look forward to cheering on him and his team with NASCAR fans everywhere.”

Here is what Suarez had to add.

“Freeway Insurance has been there for me just like it’s been there for thousands of customers who rely on the brand for affordable insurance solutions, and I’m excited to continue our relationship. I take great pride in having the Freeway Insurance name on our cars and hope to make them and our NASCAR fans proud next year.”

We had the chance to speak with Suarez about this partnership and asked him how he and the brand plan to grow together in 2023.

“I have been with Freeway almost three years now,” Suarez told Beyond the Flag . “This began as a personal relationship and has grown to include both myself and Trackhouse with several paint schemes. … We have grown it from a personal sponsorship to Freeway being a big part of what has made Trackhouse Racing successful.

“We have been going to Freeway stores in largely Hispanic neighborhoods on Saturday and signing autographs, taking pictures and meeting with fans. It’s been a lot of fun.”

He also spoke more about a safe driving program which he discussed with us at length earlier in the year.

“Freeway has also worked with Doug Herbert’s BRAKES program teaching teenagers about safe driving,” Suarez explained. “Also, I think you are going to start seeing some Freeway paint schemes on the road. They are turning some of their company Chevrolets into what will look like our No. 99 race car with the identical paint scheme.

“We have also done several national commercials in both English and Spanish. So, they are all in and I couldn’t be happier.”
