Follow along with our Daytona 500 qualifying updates ahead of the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season opener at Daytona International Speedway.

The 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season is scheduled to get underway this Sunday, February 19 at Daytona International Speedway with the 65th annual Daytona 500.

With 42 drivers on the entry list and the field for the 200-lap race around the four-turn, 2.5-mile (4.023-kilometer) high-banked Daytona Beach, Florida oval capped at 40 cars, two drivers who attempt to qualify will fail to do so. The 36 chartered entries are locked into the race, leaving six drivers to battle for four spots.

Wednesday night’s single-car qualifying session (8:15 p.m. ET, Fox Sports 1), which will set the starting lineups for Thursday’s two 60-lap Bluegreen Vacations Duels qualifying races (7:00 p.m. ET, Fox Sports 1) and the front row for the Daytona 500 itself, will lock two non-chartered entries into the race.

The remaining four will battle for the final two spots in Thursday’s Duel races, which will set the full starting lineup for the Daytona 500.

Follow along with our live qualifying updates for the NASCAR Cup Series season-opening Daytona 500.
