Tifosi, Imola, 2022

The Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari circuit in Imola is offering refunds or ticket exchanges to all ticket holders for this weekend’s cancelled Formula 1 race.

The Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix was due to take place at the Italian circuit this weekend. However, due to the impact on flooding in the region after sustained rainfall in recent weeks, F1 announced yesterday that the event would not take place.

Last year’s Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix weekend – the first sprint race weekend of the 2022 season – saw a total of 129,656 spectators attend the venue across the three days of competition, with over 42,000 tourists arriving into the region for the event. Many fans holding tickets for this weekend’s race had already begun their journeys to the region, with the opening day of practice originally planned for tomorrow.

As the race will not take place, the circuit has confirmed compensation plans for all ticket holders affected by the cancellation of the event due to the “ongoing weather emergency”.

The circuit will offer “all buyers who have purchased tickets through the sales network and the purchasing platform” the choice of a refund of their ticket prices or the opportunity to convert their tickets for the 2023 event to next year’s Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix instead.

Due to the ongoing impact of the flooding in the region, the circuit says that ticketholders will be contacted with details about how to claim their refunds or ticket conversions via an email from the Automobile Club of Italy (ACI Sport) through over the coming days.

Anyone affected by the cancellation of the event can seek out further information by visiting or calling them on +39 892 101.
